We received 143 applications. We have accepted the very best of these and will be exhibiting 41 indoor and 52 large outdoor sculptures.

It’s now time to invite you to our beautiful valley to experience The Wollombi Valley Sculpture Festival.

For 16 days, including 3 weekends, from the 26th of October thru till the 10th of November the entire Wollombi Valley will be in festival mode.

With over $1,300,000 worth of sculpture on display and for sale 2019 is going to be the biggest Sculpture Exhibition in the 17year history of this event.

Sculptures will be on display and for sale at the GNTP Laguna, Undercliff Winery, Endeavour Museum Wollombi, Grays Inn, Stonehurst Winery, Wollombi Tavern, The Old Fireshed Gallery, St Johns Church and many public spaces throughout the valley.

Enjoy the local vineyards, restaurants, cafes and taverns.

These distinctive wines come from a north-facing slope in an enclosed and remote valley alongside the Wollombi Brook. Chosen by James Milson in 1823 as ideal grazing pasture for his cattle after the great drought of 1821, this unique location with its intense summer heat and crisp winter mornings produces a perfect grape with flavours never before tasted in the Lower Hunter Valley of New South Wales. A perfect starting point for your Sculpture experience, the Noyce Brothers Cellar Door is located at the historic Grays Inn in the heart of Wollombi Village.

Stonehurst

Stonehurst Cedar Creek is a family owned and operated vineyard. Stroll through their famous poplar grove to view some of this years magnificent artworks. Visit the beautiful sandstone cellar door to taste their award winning boutique wines or stay amongst the vines at their Cedar Creek Cottages.

Undercliff Vineyard

Undercliff was proclaimed and settled as a farm in 1846. The original timber slab sheds and homestead and been retained and the latter is now unique guest accommodation. The history of this vineyard is significant and provides a distinctive backdrop for the large-scale artworks exhibited here. After wandering through the grounds viewing the artworks close up, the slightly elevated position of the cellar door provides a delightful vantage point (wine glass in hand naturally!) to view the art works dotted throughout the vines.
